This is a shell unit for Master of Research students from any Department to undertake advanced study of an environment and geography topic relevant to their proposed research field. Students undertake a variety of research topics and activities through this unit and as such there is no set unit guide. Students interested in doing one of the Department of Environment and Geography's 800-level units (see http://www.handbook.mq.edu.au/2014/Units/PGByDepartment/Department+of+Environment+and+Geography), through this unit, or require any advice on this unit, should contact Andrew McGregor.

Unit description
This unit is one of six units in the Master of Research program for the Department of Environment and Geography that will enable students in this and other areas of science to undertake advanced study of an environment and geography topic relevant to their proposed research field. The unit is developed specifically for one or more students to provide a required advanced discipline topic. Students including this unit in their MRes program must have that program approved by the academic responsible for the MRes in the department in which the student is enrolled.
