Unit description Unit description
This unit comprises approved reading projects in advanced topics from different areas of geophysics. A presentation of a seminar and two written reports are required on completion of this project.

Main Course

Due: Week 8
Weighting: 40%

A ~3000 word report, plus any relevant figures and tables.
On successful completion you will be able to:
  • Competence in accessing, using and synthesising appropriate information
  • Application of knowledge to solving problems and evaluating ideas and information
  • Capacity to present ideas clearly with supporting evidence

Main Course Seminar

Due: Week 8
Weighting: 10%

Produce a PPT presentation and/or give a seminar based on your report (Main Course).
On successful completion you will be able to:
  • Capacity to present ideas clearly with supporting evidence

Dessert

Due: Week 12
Weighting: 40%

A ~3000 word report, plus any relevant figures and tables.
On successful completion you will be able to:
