ANY evidence of plagiarism will be dealt with following Macquarie University policy AND the external University policy. At Macquarie University, penalties for plagiarism will be imposed for each assessment and clearly defined in marking grades. Further penalties imposed by the Faculty disciplinary committee may range from a loss of all marks and the award of zero depending on the circumstances.

External unit study | 100% | No | All semester |
Due: All semester
Weighting: 100%
This unit is one of the electives offered through the Master of Marine Science and Management degree. All unit choices must be approved by the BIOL872 unit convenor. Admission into the external unit of choice is contingent on availability of places in the unit of choice at the time of the request.
You will successfully complete a unit of study at a University external to Macquarie University, preferably a Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) partner university.
The number and timing of individual assessment tasks and their weights will vary depending on the external unit chosen. Information on the units available at the partner universities can be found at the following links:
OVERALL RUNNING OF THE UNIT
This unit acts as a shell unit to allow relevant study at another institution. The requirements of the unit therefore vary and are directed by the convenor of the external unit being undertaken. Please ensure that you identify yourself with the external unit convenor as soon as you are enrolled and that the external convenor is aware that you are a cross-institutional student.
