Unit description Unit description
This unit involves the preparation of a research thesis as planned in PSYN8918 Research Proposal, and progressed in PSYN8920 Clinical Neuropsychology Dissertation 1. The research findings are submitted in the form of a 5,000-8,000 word journal article, evaluated by a Macquarie-based examiner and an external examiner.

Students submit a draft of the literature review intended to form the Introduction section of the dissertation to be submitted in PSYN8921. The draft should be 2000-3000 words in length and formatted according to the guidelines in the APA Style Manual


On successful completion you will be able to:
  • Conduct an empirical research project which has direct relevance for clinical neuropsychology.
  • Apply data analysis techniques used in neuropsychological research.
  • UL03 Submit a draft of the introduction to the empirical paper which is completed in PSYN8921
