Unit description
In this unit students proceed to a deeper understanding of the structure of the Russian language. Emphasis is placed on contemporary standard Russian in the widest possible context. Much attention is given to the active use of the language. The unit includes practice in speaking, understanding, reading and writing Russian through the use of authentic Russian language materials. |

All assessment tasks are compulsory and must be submitted on time. Assignment tasks handed in early will not be marked and returned before the due date.
Late Assessment Penalty
Unless a Special Consideration request has been submitted and approved, (a) a penalty for lateness will apply – two (2) marks out of 100 will be deducted per day for assignments submitted after the due date – and (b) no assignment will be accepted more than seven (7) days (incl. weekends) after the original submission deadline. No late submissions will be accepted for timed assessments – e.g. quizzes, online tests.

Technology
Students are required to have regular access to a computer and the internet. Mobile devices alone are not sufficient. The preferred operating system is Windows 10.
