Unit description Unit description

This unit will provide an opportunity for you to revise, reflect and be assessed on your consolidated learning across the Doctor of Medicine (Macquarie MD). It will involve tutorial sessions focused on developing advanced skills involved in responding to feedback, developing action plans and critically reflecting on performance. In this unit, you will reflect on and continue to learn how to evaluate feedback, create action plans to address feedback and reflect critically on their professional development, in reference to graduate capability expectation statements. You will be required to assemble the evidence you need for the summative portfolio assessment to demonstrate your performance and capability across the entire course, and at a level expected for graduation.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:

Integrated Examination

This is a hurdle assessment task (see assessment policy for more information on hurdle assessment tasks)

 

The integrative written examination will cover all disciplines in Stage 2, excepting Mental Health and Urgent Care, and consist of multiple choice and extended matching type questions which will be mapped to capability aspects. Overall performance and capability aspects performance will be recorded in your Macquarie Assessment Portfolio.

Assessment of Portfolio and Interview. Your Macquarie MD Portfolio data will be reviewed and discussed in an interview. The portfolio examiner will provide an aggregate grade for all eight capability aspects and a level of supervision for all 9 G EPAs and overall portfolio grade, all of which will be recorded in your Portfolio. During the examination/ interview, evidence of outstanding compulsory training requirements (such as requirements relating to family violence and mandatory reporting) and/or satisfactory resolution of academic concerns must be met in order to pass this hurdle assessment. Details of these training requirements will be provided within the detailed assessment guides, available on iLearn.
