Unit description
This unit explores the concepts and contemporary challenges of managing human resources in both domestic and international contexts. Students will learn about theoretical and conceptual models of managing a globalised workforce. The unit will also provide students with an opportunity to critically apply their conceptual learning to develop solutions for organisations in managing a global workforce. |

Late Assessment Submission Penalty
Unless a Special Consideration request has been submitted and approved, a 5% penalty (of the total possible mark) will be applied each day a written assessment is not submitted, up until the 7th day (including weekends). After the 7th day, a grade of ‘0’ will be awarded even if the assessment is submitted. Submission time for all written assessments is set at 11.55pm. A 1-hour grace period is provided to students who experience a technical concern.
For any late submissions of time-sensitive tasks, such as scheduled tests/exams, performance assessments/presentations, and/or scheduled practical assessments/labs, students need to submit an application for Special Consideration.

This assessment is an individual essay of 2,000 words, and worth 40%.

This assessment is an individual case study of 1,500 words, and worth 30%.
Assessment Type 1: Reflective Writing
Indicative Time on Task 2: 15 hours

Weighting: 30%
This assessment is an individual reflective writing of 1,500 words, and worth 30%. Students critically reflect on two topics covered during the semester based on a real-world situation.
