Unit description
This course-wide Capstone unit is designed to be taken by students in their final session of study within the Bachelor of Business. Students will apply their discipline-specific knowledge within collaborative environments and develop their leadership and communication capabilities through the Capstone project. At the completion of the unit, students are expected to have developed and critically reflected on the ethical and sustainability contexts. |

On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:
Late Assessment Submission Penalty (written assessments)
Unless a Special Consideration request has been submitted and approved, a 5% penalty (of the total possible mark) will be applied each day a written assessment is not submitted, up until the 7th day (including weekends). After the 7th day, a grade of ‘0’ will be awarded even if the assessment is submitted. Submission time for all written assessments is set at 11.55pm. A 1-hour grace period is provided to students who experience a technical concern.
For any late submissions of time-sensitive tasks, such as scheduled tests/exams, performance assessments/presentations, and/or scheduled practical assessments/labs, students need to submit an application for Special Consideration.

The purpose of this assessment is to develop your ability to communicate your strengths and skills and highlight your employability to future employers. You will communicate your strengths and skill streams related to business, applying theory and models in a clear and engaging presentation. Skills in focus:
Deliverable: 3-4min presentation with accompanying slides. Individual assessment.

Indicative Time on Task 2: 35 hours
Due: 17/10/2025
Weighting: 40%
The purpose of this assessment is to develop your ability to assess business challenges and opportunities by applying sustainable concepts and models. You will work in a team to investigate existing and potential firms to evaluate and suggest sustainable business decisions for the allocated firm. Skills in focus:
Deliverable: Written report [max 3,000 words]. Group and individual assessment.
Assessment Type 1: Reflective Writing

The purpose of this assessment is to develop your ability to reflect critically on your learning by applying leadership theories to personal or professional experiences in order to deepen self-awareness and support future professional development. You will individually reflect on how selected leadership theories or frameworks apply to your experiences, drawing on scholarly research and a structured model of reflection to evaluate how these insights shape your understanding and future practice. Skills in focus:
