On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:
Late Submission Penalties (written assessments)
If you submit your assessment late, 5% of the total possible marks will be deducted for each day (including weekends), up to 7 days. Submissions more than 7 days late will receive a mark of 0.
Example 1 (out of 100):
If you score 85/100 but submit 20 hours late, you will lose 5 marks and receive 80/100.
Example 2 (out of 30):
If you score 27/30 but submit 20 hours late, you will lose 1.5 marks and receive 25.5/30.

Automatic short extension: Some assessments are eligible for automatic short extension. You can only apply for an automatic short extension before the due date. The purpose of this assessment is for you to work with peers to demonstrate your understanding of key perspectives and concepts and their applications in setting up a new enterprise.
You will work in teams to develop a new enterprise project. Part one requires you to present a business plan pitch, with each student presenting one aspect of the plan. Part two involves developing a written business plan. You are expected to collaborate throughout the project and your work will be assessed based on both individual contributions and overall group performance.

Deliverable(s): Group presentation (max 5 minutes per person – 30% marked individually) and Written group report [about 1000 words per person – 20% marked as a group]

The purpose of this assessment is for you to reflect on perspectives and concepts of new enterprise management and to apply both theoretical and practical reasoning to in-class case studies in order to propose well-founded recommendations.
You will work individually and prepare answers to a range of case study questions (two case studies throughout a term). These answers will be integrated in a group setting to develop and reflect upon solutions and enterprise strategy. Your work will be assessed based on both individual contributions and overall group performance.
