Unit description
This unit introduces best practice approaches to handling complex organisational problems with tools and methods that enable the transformation of data into insights. It also focuses on developing theoretical and practical analytical skills, such as research, critical thinking, scanning, pattern recognition and creative problem-solving. You will gain exposure to analysing data sets as well as leveraging statistical methods and visualisation techniques to inform organisational decision making. |

On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:
Late Assessment Submission Penalty (written assessments) Unless a Special Consideration request has been submitted and approved, a 5% penalty (of the total possible mark) will be applied each day a written assessment is not submitted, up until the 7th day (including weekends). After the 7th day, a grade of ‘0’ will be awarded even if the assessment is submitted. Submission time for all written assessments is set at 11:59pm(Sydney time). A 1-hour grace period is provided to students who experience a technical concern. For any late submissions of time-sensitive tasks, such as scheduled tests/exams, performance assessments/presentations, and/or scheduled practical assessments/labs, students need to apply for Special Consideration.

Length: Max 10 minutes (~10 slides - 8 slides of visualisation and storytelling + 2 slides of executive summary)
Format: Individual presentation including visualisation of data and executive summary.
Task: In this assignment, you will be working with a set of data to generate insights and create visualisations of that data. You will be creating a presentation of your findings and analysis as well as providing an executive summary based on your findings. You will submit your completed task via the Assignment submission link in your online unit.
