Unit description Unit description
Students will undertake language studies in an ancient language according to their level of linguistic competence. They will also complete a project on a textual or historical aspect of the relevant language.

On successful completion of this unit, you will be able to:

  • Apply creative thinking and effective communication skills in analysing and interpreting linguistic data for HDR projects.
  • Evaluate unit readings and concepts.
  • Analyse grammatical structures systematically in a range of original texts.
  • Analyse independently specific linguistic data in unit readings.
