Unit description Unit description
This full-year unit requires students to conduct a small piece of original research under supervision, with a written report of around 10,000 words to be submitted. The topic will be negotiated with lecturers within the department and supervision of projects will be arranged with appropriate specialists in the subject area. Students enrolled in this unit may audit SPH810 lectures that are relevant to their project development.

Literature review

Weighting: 20%

Students will submit a literature review for their research project in a format that is suitable for use in the final thesis.

Thesis

Due: week 13 S2
Weighting: 50%

Students will submit the final report of their research project in thesis format.

Delivery and Resources

Students are expected to attend classes and participate in class activities. These will focus on supporting the development of their individual research projects.
